Cody received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1988. He currently is finishing work on his MBA from Regis University in Boulder, Colorado. He is a CPA, certified to practice in North Carolina. Cody founded Cody LeGrant McKinney, CPA, P.C. in February, 2000 in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the North Carolina Association of CPAs.
He is a member of the Financial Planning section of the AICPA, and he is licensed to sell life and health insurance in North Carolina. He is the founder of the Mitchell County Basketball Club, and serves on the Board of Directors of numerous not-for-profit agencies, including Mitchell-Yancey Partnership for Children, Spruce Pine Community Hospital Foundation, and the Rotary Club of Spruce Pine. He is a member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church where he serves as a youth Sunday School teacher. He is married to Ms. Sherry McKinney, and they have 2 sons, Dexter Boone and Dane McKinney.
Jamie Miller, Client Service Representative

Jamie Miller is a Spruce Pine native who received his Bachelor's Degree from Western Carolina University in May, 2001. He is the Client Service Representative for the firm, and is based in our main office in Spruce Pine. Jamie played football for WCU, where he was a three-year letterman. He also is an assistant coach for the Mitchell High School football team, and is active in several organizations in the community. His is a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.
